So for the shoot part of the workshop Jasmine showed us how she works with clients and gets those incredible shots. I was kinda nervous for the shoot because I am just weird like that. I don't know what my problem is sometimes. The night before we got together and did headshots of each other on the beach and I didn't really shoot. I notice I do this here too at photographer GTG......... I clam up......... I need to stop it! But I finally got in there and started shooting and got some decent stuff. I was lucky and got a few direct looks into the camera shots too! And it was HOT! Don't let California fool you. Poor guy was in a jacket! But he rocked it! He had the sweetest style. And he and his wife......(yes people they are a real life couple!).......were the cutest couple ever! Location: The Club at Woodbury- so pretty, want to live there
Models: Melinda and Vern- stunning, stylish, artsy, madly in love
Floral: Carissa of JL Events & Design- perfection
Beauty/Hair: Vivian Tran-All Made Up Team- amazing, sweet, artist
I could have photographed Melinda all day. She is absolutely breathtaking! Her eyes were doe-like it made her innocently captivating...........
Now let me tell you a little something about a woman named Vivian. She is a master! She can DO hair! When I do hair I throw in a Bump-it and call it a day. Hahaha. This lady sculpts masterpieces out of keratin. Seriously look at that hair! Mad-skillz that Viv!
I love this dress. It fits her body like skin. Delish. And love the uniqueness of the bouquet.
Jasmine's Mom and JD of course were there helping with the food, technical things, and just making sure Jasmine and us were taken care of. Mom must be so proud. She has an awesome daughter. And JD is the sweetest guy ever. Always taking care of his lady. You could just tell he was happy helping her. It was funny because at dinner someone asked him what his and Jasmine's work day is like. He replies scheduled. I joked and said he was a Babywise Husband. He looked at me with the cutest innocent blank face and me and another photographer who is with child just busted up laughing. Don't we all wish we had Babywise Husbands?? Geesh Jasmine's got it all =).
I had the best time at her workshop. Now I just want to just keep going to workshops. I think I am going to be a workshop groupie. Thanks you Jasmine, JD, and Momma Star for everything!
One of my dearest friends makes the cutest party decor and invitations. Luckily I get to photograph many of these fun party items at various birthday parties and showers we go to. Recently Taryn of Serendipity Videography had a ice cream party for her little girl and Kim made these adorable cupcake toppers! For more party planning ideas, decor, and invitations visit here!
T, it's T. Can you make me fabulous? Over the years I have become Taryn's, owner of
Serendipity Videography, personal stylist! The first time I did her hair and makeup for an event was about 3 years ago for a wedding. She was a bridesmaid and I did all of the bridesmaids hair and makeup. I think Taryn used pictures from that wedding on everything that year!
I looked HOT! And if any of you know Taryn, you can totally hear her right now........right? She cracks me up! So anytime now when she gets her picture taken she rings me up! And I love it. Taryn is a beauty with or without me and I am just happy that I make her feel as good as she looks.
This time
Sergio photographer from Tucson was shooting their whole
Serendipity Team with their camera equipment. And I can't wait to see the photos! I got to style her sister this time too. Both are stunning, but negatives of each other! Taryn is super blonde and snowy pale skin, and her sister is dark with olive tan skin! Here are some quick photos I took before they left.......

I was so happy when Mom contacted me via facebook to take her family photos now that Baby M was able to sit. Mom and I were on spiritline together when we were 14 in junior high and went to high school together. In junior high our coach wasn't let's say, the nicest lady and wore crazy socks all the time. I remember choreographing a routine and we competed and placed 2nd (out of like 4 but whatever!). I don't remember exactly everything, but she basically said we stunk and should have placed higher and because I made up the routine I was the one who REALLY stinked ......or is it stunked?? I almost quit. And my friend Katy vowed to quit with me. What I do remember was Mom standing up against the coach for us! If they quit we quit too! Well maybe that's not what she said, but she spoke for the squad and had my back. Thanks A! So when I saw her the other weekend for their session it didn't surprise me that she went on to become a lawyer! She asked me if I always knew I was artsy because she didn't remember that about me in school. I wasn't really artsy, besides dance. I was the academic asian! After graduating from ASU with my B.S. degree I decided to go to hair school instead of medical school. I know, big difference. My salon clients always ask me what did your dad say? He actually was very supportive and co-signed so I could get a loan! But I went not because I really wanted to get all creative or anything. Though I did like hair and fashion. I used to cut my own hair in high school sometimes or perm or straighten my friend's hair. Really because my husband and I had been dating at the time for 4 years and I knew we would get married and I didn't want to leave him and go to school somewhere. I also was burnt out on school. I busted my bottom taking all of those science classes. You need like 120 something credits to graduate and I graduated with 151.....In 4 years.....Crazy.....Can you say No Life :). So I followed my heart and my hubby and now a hair stylist/photographer!! Anyway, Mom that's how I kinda got here since you were wondering! It was so nice to meet up with her again and see what she has been up to the last 10+ years. I love reading her FB updates, she is very witty! I always remembered her as being pretty funny. Married now with a beautiful lil' girl. Mom was hoping for a redhead like her but I have to say Baby M looks just like her daddy! I love her beautiful pale skin and big doe eyes. Adorable! That paired with InkyBinky tutu and you have yourself an Angel!See heaven sent.......
One of my faves. Love her expression.

It was so great to see you again A! Maybe I will join you and K for brunch when you guys set it up!

ETSY shop. Lots of cute stuff! She is the genius who created my logo for me! She is having a giveaway for 15 custom made birthday invitations or birth announcements. As an added bonus I included a "mini-shoot" with
moi! Me..... for those who don't speak French :) You will have your choice of 5 edited images to be able to use in the photo invitation or birth annoucement! Only catch is you must live in the Valley to get the shoot, but you can live anywhere to get the invitations/announcements!! So hurry and visit her

I styled Taryn of Serendipity videography for her family shoot with the famed Melissa Jill. Normally Taryn wears her hair straight so we jazzed her up a bit with some curls and makeup. Here is a quick shot I took of Miss Hot T.........

I have been blogging all of my recent shoots since all my past families have already gotten their pictures and slideshows. But I heard this mom wanted a "cute little story" to go with hers like everyone else! So this is for you Mom :)
I shot the Fine Family back in November for their holiday card. They were a referal from the
Hansens, of course. Mom wanted something different from their normal studio pics and had seen the Hansen's and called me. She is also a bridesmaid in one of the weddings I am shooting so you will see her again! Mom is nurse and owner of a super cute
online baby boutique and one of her adorable beanies was on one of my
newborns in her shoot. She also is married to a guy I went to high school with and it was so cool to see him again after all these years and catch up and see what he's been up to. And I must say he gets the most cooperative dad/guy award! He was always ready and smiling and never once asked me if we were done yet! Did complain about the wet grass, but so did every guy I shot this past season so that was okay! They have the cutest little son who I would have thought was kidnapped if it weren't that he looked like his dad, but like the negative image of him! This little guy was blonde and had light eyes! Though he couldn't walk, therefore not run away from me, he still would not look at me! I totally remember after the shoot mom and dad a little frustrated and saying "all we need is one for our card". I think you got more than one! Thank you for letting me shoot your beautiful family! Hope you like your story! See you at the wedding
