Mr. T one year young! {Gilbert Children Photographer}

Mr. T is one year young! Mom was referred from a friend of mine who runs one of the best bootcamps in the East Valley who I photographed last year. Mr. T just turned one and mom was redoing his play room and wanted to get some fun shots of him with some vintage toys she had found. I know for a fact my friend will be quite jelly when she sees the antique desk!!

Isn't he so cute in his hat!

Few of the antique toys..........

Even an antique phone! He should run for president. Isn't there always a picture of the president with the phone upside down???

Such a handsome boy! Beautiful eyes! And I am a sucker for butt-chins! Is there another word for that?? Maybe I am not calling it by the right name?? Dimple chin maybe??

Thank you L & T! I had a fun with your little man and I hope you get that pool table out so you can start on his playroom!!

Auction for Kate

I have mixed emotions today. I am so excited to be doing this and be able to help. But then it brings me to tears to as to why. A little girl has brain cancer. Lately, when my husband and I read Kate's progress then look over at our daughter , we can't help but just tear up. Kate is her age. So full of life. And her family, her mother, everyday have the same mixed emotions. Questions, despair followed by motivation, and hope. From all of us. All so very exhausting I am sure. This family has such a long road to recovery with ups and down along the way. If I can help ease some of the day to day things like what is for dinner through the gift cards so they can focus on their family is simple but means so much.

So here we go! Here are the details for the auction. The winning bid will be announced Tuesday July 21st! Please check comments for recent bids before bidding! For more auction items please visit here.

D Family { Mesa Arizona Family Photographer}

I want to first thank mom for being so patient with me this crazy holiday week and weekend!! I am sure she has been checking my blog daily to see if I posted her session. I met up with the D Family a few weeks ago for their session. Ms. H is just 1 year young and so full of spunk! This age they just are becoming mobile and just love exploring. She has the most gorgeous blue eyes and lush lashes!

She makes the cutest expressions too!

My weirdness comes in handy when talking to toddlers. They think I am hilarious! Too bad it doesn't work on adults...........

This one is one of my FAVES! I love the lighting and I am a sucker for lil' girls and their daddies............

I love her smile and eyes in this one............

Thank You D Family! Hope you enjoy your images!!

Baby C {Arizona Newborn Photographer}

I gave a little preface already on this shoot, so we will just get straight to the images!

My favorite.......little hands and feet! Though I love newborn feet, my all time favorite are a little more ripe, maybe a 2 year old toddler?? When the corn kernal toes are nice and fat for nibblin'!

This one is my FAVE!

And this one :)

How about this one??

We got SPA BABY pics with the rose petals for MOM................

As a photographer, you want to show the size of the baby. That is why many use baskets or bowls to showcase how small the newborn really is. It isn't because we like to do the baby on the doorstep image:). This session I tried a new idea............yeah, didn't work out as I planned........baby wasn't liking that!

SOOOO.....................once baby fell asleep after SPA BABY, we wanted to try the ASU pics again. But I didn't want to move her and wake her up to change the set back to the ASU sheet again. So we just threw the helmet back in and the football!!! This my friends is what I call Dreamin' of the Rose Bowl. I either just blessed the Devils or jinxed them by taking this picture. Let's pray this is good luck and maybe a sign!

Thanks A & K! Welcome to the Parents Club! You guys are gonna do great! So nice to meet you and your beautiful little girl!!!

Ms. A {Arizona Dance photographer}

I am learning new things at every shoot. First how to deal with silly boys. Then this past weekend the poopy baby. And this session a child over 5! Most of the kids I photograph are under the age of 5. So I kinda am just running around them and just watching them. The older they get the more they know my presence and it is a little harder for me to get the natural style I usually try to present in my work.

Miss. A definately knew I was there and was always ready with a smile and pose! Her and her mom drove 2 hours to see me! Her mom wanted dance recital pictures done of her daughter. Miss A was the sweetest thang with the cutest dimples. Sassy and full of spunk. She kept bustin' out moves all over the place at her session. After their session she invited me to dinner with her and her mom before their drive home. So sweet! The best part was when she was teaching her mom dance moves in the parking lot! ...........and one.....and two......three....four......Jazz hands!

Hope you ladies had fun on your short stay! So great to meet you gals!

I love this shot. I think it would look cool on a canvas in a dance studio or girl's room........

Work it gurl!

Pretty gangsta!

M Family {Tempe Family photographer}

I love it! Whenever I photograph families I get to witness so many different families and personalities. Many times parents' say......... My children are usually so good...... Or when the children won't come take a family picture....They really do love me! My parents always feel like they have to apologize for their children. And I don't even notice that the kids are doing anything! I think sometimes parents expect their children to pose and smile and do what Mrs. Tina says. Truly moms and dads, I don't care! I want them to do what they do, not what I want them to do. That's the fun part. No apologies needed!

This next family I had the opportunity to work with already. Mom and Dad were in the bridal party of one of my weddings. I got to meet their 2 boys this time. And did I love it! I grew up in a family of 4 sisters, so I am always intrigued by boys and the brotherly bond. Boys are just cool. Laidback. Outgoing. Funny. Whatever goes mentality. Sometimes I think I would like being a boy. Except the part with dealing with girls! Girls are just more complex. Trust. I am one. But I am one that also thinks a lot like a boy sometimes. So I am intrigued by the male mind! What really baffles me is how much milk boys drink! My husband can drink a gallon in one day! When we were dating he always told me I'd be in for a rude awakening if we had boys, cause when I was growing up a gallon would last a week at our house. Girls just don't drink milk. At least I don't. Maybe God knew I wouldn't be able to grasp the milk concept and therefore made my children allergic to it instead :).

But these boys were so cute together. I loved watching them interact and just be. All Little wanted to do was wrestle in the grass with brother. Sit next to brother. Be with brother. Big was just goofy! And silly! I had to pull teeth to get some real smiles out of him, but when I did they were contagious! Mom and Dad were equally silly.......... D, c'mom, act like you loooooove me! .....mom would say wrapping her legs around Dad. He turns and looks at me, then looks at her and says ......Why are you so weird?!? HaHa! I love it! Moms are always so enthusiatic about the shoots and Dads always say the kids are done when they are the ones who really are! If this sounds like you and your family, you are normal, not weird. Though I have had some Dads just as excited about the shoot as mom. You guys are special! So normal or special, but NEVER weird !!

Look at this lil' monchichi face! Remember those?? Ugh... just want to eat him up!

After I got the pliers and starting pulling teeth :) Love his real smile!

Love at it's weirdest......ahem.....I mean finest :)

I loved all their family shots. The boys were so fun and these totally show the family's relationship which was FUN!

Thanks guys! I had so much fun hangin' with ya! Sorry I bribed you with ice cream and then didn't deliver :( I made up for it though just wait.....wink....wink...

S Family {Queen Creek family photographer}

I haven't seen this guy since college! And he hasn't changed a bit! We went to high school together and had Physics 102 in college. Ugh, I hated that class! I have never had a C ever in my educational career until that class. I cried everyday of 101 and ended up with an 89.4%! So I told myself I wouldn't stress in 102 and settle for a 79.9%, or a B. Instead I end up with a C! I blame it on this guy:). He was a construction major and I just remember laughing and joking all lecture. We had no idea what our teacher was talking about! Our professor I remember was nice but looked kinda like Kernal Sanders. I just couldn't grasp the material. It was hard enough in 101 to learn about moving objects like pendulums and cars on ramps. But to go to 102 and learn about moving things I can't see or touch?? Which orbital an electron is at any given time or which way a battery current is moving??? I don't know how I made it through college! Snore!

My husband sees Dad at the gym and told him about what we've been up to. We found out he recently got married and had a little baby. I was so happy when he emailed and asked me to take some family photos because I unfortunately have not gone to the gym lately....Pfft....and haven't seen him in ages! So I met them at his beautiful home since his little boy was so young. And so CUTE! Sorry Dad, he looks like mama! I was able to catch up, meet the family, and get some beautiful shots!

I love the light in this one. How it makes baby and mom's skin and hair so beautiful and golden!!

Belly kisses!!

I caught him in a deep thought while in mom's arms. Why so serious???

Thank you P & C! It was so good to see you again! You have a beautiful family. You are a lucky man!

C Family {arizona family photographer}

The C family is the sister in law of the M family. All of my families are so special to me and I love shooting all of them for various reasons. This one though I must say touched me in so many different ways. I feel a little choked up even now as I write this. Everything about this family was so special. Mom's enthusiam for the shoot, their family dynamics, their testimony, their strength, their love. Mom had a stillborn at 30 weeks. Was then blessed with 2 beautiful children. Concieved again and had a beautiful baby boy, Hayden. Unfortunately who passed away last summer. I included some photos of him that mom and dad took so he could also be in the slideshow. I am amazed everyday with people's strength and courage. Families like this represent what it means to love and just have faith. The love and happiness I witnessed with this family was beautiful. Sister for brother, daughter for dad, dad for mom, mom for son.......... brother for binky! I love their slideshow. It truly touched me. Thank you C family for sharing your story with me and letting me document your beautiful family. Your family is so blessed and I for getting to meet and spend time with you!

There were so many favorites from this session!

Dad is gonna have a hard time with this one in a few years. Beauty....

And brains............

Dad and son were trying to see if the bar was open for some daddy juice :). I actually worked at that bar back in the day when I was in hair school. It's changed now, but when I worked there it was a 70s/80s club. It was a really fun job because I went to work in bell bottoms, roller skates, big wigs, Neon, units belts and jelly shoes! It was totally awesome, like radical! I danced all night in a raised up Volkswagon beetle! So don't be surprised if I bust out in the hustle or something to ABBA or Brickhouse at your wedding!! Haha.

I hope my daughter and son stay close like these two...........

One of my faves of the whole gang!

Thanks again A & R! You have beautiful children!

R Family {phoenix family photographer}

I was so happy when Mom contacted me via facebook to take her family photos now that Baby M was able to sit. Mom and I were on spiritline together when we were 14 in junior high and went to high school together. In junior high our coach wasn't let's say, the nicest lady and wore crazy socks all the time. I remember choreographing a routine and we competed and placed 2nd (out of like 4 but whatever!). I don't remember exactly everything, but she basically said we stunk and should have placed higher and because I made up the routine I was the one who REALLY stinked ......or is it stunked?? I almost quit. And my friend Katy vowed to quit with me. What I do remember was Mom standing up against the coach for us! If they quit we quit too! Well maybe that's not what she said, but she spoke for the squad and had my back. Thanks A! So when I saw her the other weekend for their session it didn't surprise me that she went on to become a lawyer!

She asked me if I always knew I was artsy because she didn't remember that about me in school. I wasn't really artsy, besides dance. I was the academic asian! After graduating from ASU with my B.S. degree I decided to go to hair school instead of medical school. I know, big difference. My salon clients always ask me what did your dad say? He actually was very supportive and co-signed so I could get a loan! But I went not because I really wanted to get all creative or anything. Though I did like hair and fashion. I used to cut my own hair in high school sometimes or perm or straighten my friend's hair. Really because my husband and I had been dating at the time for 4 years and I knew we would get married and I didn't want to leave him and go to school somewhere. I also was burnt out on school. I busted my bottom taking all of those science classes. You need like 120 something credits to graduate and I graduated with 151.....In 4 years.....Crazy.....Can you say No Life :). So I followed my heart and my hubby and now a hair stylist/photographer!!

Anyway, Mom that's how I kinda got here since you were wondering! It was so nice to meet up with her again and see what she has been up to the last 10+ years. I love reading her FB updates, she is very witty! I always remembered her as being pretty funny. Married now with a beautiful lil' girl. Mom was hoping for a redhead like her but I have to say Baby M looks just like her daddy! I love her beautiful pale skin and big doe eyes. Adorable! That paired with InkyBinky tutu and you have yourself an Angel!

See heaven sent.......

One of my faves. Love her expression.

It was so great to see you again A! Maybe I will join you and K for brunch when you guys set it up!
