Baby C {Arizona Newborn Photographer}

I gave a little preface already on this shoot, so we will just get straight to the images!

My favorite.......little hands and feet! Though I love newborn feet, my all time favorite are a little more ripe, maybe a 2 year old toddler?? When the corn kernal toes are nice and fat for nibblin'!

This one is my FAVE!

And this one :)

How about this one??

We got SPA BABY pics with the rose petals for MOM................

As a photographer, you want to show the size of the baby. That is why many use baskets or bowls to showcase how small the newborn really is. It isn't because we like to do the baby on the doorstep image:). This session I tried a new idea............yeah, didn't work out as I planned........baby wasn't liking that!

SOOOO.....................once baby fell asleep after SPA BABY, we wanted to try the ASU pics again. But I didn't want to move her and wake her up to change the set back to the ASU sheet again. So we just threw the helmet back in and the football!!! This my friends is what I call Dreamin' of the Rose Bowl. I either just blessed the Devils or jinxed them by taking this picture. Let's pray this is good luck and maybe a sign!

Thanks A & K! Welcome to the Parents Club! You guys are gonna do great! So nice to meet you and your beautiful little girl!!!

M family {Gilbert Family photographer}

I don't remember what is like to bring a new little baby into the world..........into the world of a toddler. This session as well as last, refreshed my memory! A! Don't jump like that. You almost smushed your brother. Oh no A! You have to be very gentle.......I 100% remember now. Trust me mommies and daddies, it gets better. I remember my daughter used to put a blanket on my son and pat his back so he could sleep because that's what they did at her daycare to her. Except she would literally cover him like a corpse and smack his back all the while telling me he was going "night night". And here I am trying not to freak out and calmly telling her you must never cover baby's face yanking off the blanket! But they learn. They learn to be gentler and tolerable of the younger. Or they just learn to do things when you aren't looking! Between my daughter and my great dane (who was amazingly careful with the kids) I am surprised my son made it through his first year without a scratch!

But I have a feeling these two will be be the best of friends once his presence sinks in. It was so sweet because every once and awhile Mrs. A would sneak her brother a kiss. If you asked her of course she didn't want to. She's a modern gal, very independant. But who would blame her. Would you kiss your brother if a weird asian lady asked you to?? And Brother was such a big lil' guy at 5 weeks! With a head full of beautiful dark hair! So jealy! He was so content and didn't make one peep the whole session.

We started out at their home and I shot this one real quick before heading to the park. I love it for some reason, don't know why............

Momma's lil' monkey..........

This picture had me giggling out loud when I got home and going through the images. Since Miss A was such a firecracker, it was my mission to just get her to look at the camera. So I didn't even pay attention to what she was doing to poor brother! But I love this image for the same reason!

Love this next series..........Catching Miss A giving love :)

Okay honey, that might be a wee bit much!

Thank you so much D & M! Hope you like them!

W Family {arizona newborn photographer}

Over the weekend I had the opportunity to shoot my friend's new little addition! We used to work together and have stayed great friends. And of course I do her hair too. She looks amazing for just having a baby a month ago. Little Baby K would be just be due now. He came as a surprise early! Baby K is only 4 weeks old and he so precious! And sister Miss K is even sweeter with him.........well kind of :) But hey it has been her party for the last 3 years and she can cry if she wants too! But really she is one of the sassiest, funniest, and smartest little girls I know next to another Miss K. Which come to think of it they have the same name except one ends in "a" and one "e"?? The thing I love about K is her stunning blue eyes! And she is pint size tiny, but with a punch! Here are a few pics from a quick little session. Enjoy! BTW, is it me or does Dad look a little like Mel Gibson??

What a great big sister!

This is the stinky feet picture. K thought that was funny and, ewww gross.........

He got the stunning eyes too!

Miss Sassy Pants......

Thanks T & E! Hope you like them :)

McB Family: {arizona family photographer}

I love photographing my clients. And I LOVE photographing my friends even more! This next family is the most honest, genuine, humble, AMAZING family ever. They are just good, good peeps who I just admire! And we are so lucky to have them as friends. And I am not giving lip service. I have been told I don't give enough compliments, however when I do, I mean it from the bottom of my heart and I would gladly give my heart to this family. My husband and I went to high school with Dad and we were honored to have him stand up with my husband as they locked on the ball and chain. He comes up as Beef, in my husband's cell phone, and you will know why once you see his huge arms. I always would joke with him and ask him if he has calf implants :). I think he looks like Tom Cruise on steroids! He literally, and I mean literally would give you the shirt off his back, and then probably carry you on his back if you needed him too. He is that giving, with no expectations. Anytime my husband needs help with a project, he is our go to guy. Lucky J :). But he is always there for him, no gripes or questions asked. Once my husband called me and said "yeah J is coming over to help me with the backyard and get rid of those dead trees." I came home to my husband happily pushing a electric mower with one finger around the yard, and J sweating bullets digging out a dead tree! And J said it was his ax or shovel and wanted to do it. So giving. And once he randomly stopped by our house to pick up a ladder. I asked my husband what he was doing and he was in my neighborhood helping a recent widower (that he didn't even know, just heard her story) take down Christmas lights that he and his brother put up for her kids so they could have lights. I don't know if he knows, but he inspires me just with his actions. And it only makes sense that he is a firefighter, helping people and saving kittens and children daily!

Mom is equally amazing. So kind, friendly, and upbeat! So funny and fun, but so caring and supportive. She is an awesome massage therapist. She is tiny and I always thought, how can she give massages?? Let me tell you she is FABULOUS! Seriously, need to relax and get a great massage?? Call her. It must be all her muscles in her arms. And she doesn't even look like she had a baby 9 weeks ago. Between her and her husband, rock body central! We have been on many Rocky Point vacations together and they are our sushi double date couple. They have always treated my children as one of their own and I am so happy for them to become parents.

Baby A is so very lucky. She was an angel from heaven. She came 2 days after his father passed away from cancer. He too was an amazing man, as a teacher and sports coach. Things happen for a reason everyday in every situation. Things that we may never understand. We just have to open our eyes to them and see them for the amazing gifts and messages they really are. I only wish the best for this wonderful family....... May this little baby Angel fill your life with happiness when times can be sad, and another Angel watch over you from above and just smile........ Love you guys.

These next two are my faves............

J was so convinced he was having a boy and when he found it was going to be a girl, I could tell he was nervous. But look at him now, such a natural. She will definately have him wrapped around her finger in no time with those baby blues.......and see his arms, BEEF.

This picture has a little story with it. Dad is a clean freak like my husband. Actually more so than my husband. I actually used to tell my husband to start a housecleaning business. Don't tell me as a woman you wouldn't hire him and my husband to CLEAN your house?!?! Right? Seriously, am I on to something? Two good looking guys who can clean! Cha-ching! Anyway, Dad was all worried because baby was naked on their white down comforter tootin' up a storm! I just kept giggling. He may be smiling in this pic but he was pissed because Baby was pissing on him!! Ha! Look at Baby's face, feeling so good to relieve that lil' bladder! Look at Mom laughing! HeeHee!

Baby H

Meet lil' Miss H! A mere 2 weeks old at shoot time and looking so sweet and innocent as can be! Mom is a dear friend who I used to work with in college. We get together every once and awhile and when I see her for her hair appointment. This is her second daughter. Her eldest, Miss L at 2 1/2, was too busy to be bothered with pictures with lil sister. But I still got her! My clients can thank this Mom for the complimentary hair styling or makeup in the maternity sessions I offer. I threw that in as a bonus for moms-to-be because this mom orginally wanted to get pregnancy pictures done but ended up not getting them. As weeks went on she was not feeling her glam and fabulous self. I thought she looked amazing regardless. So I wanted to offer something to help those moms feel BEAUTIFUL too! So thanks A for giving me an idea and being such a beautiful momma!

BTW have I ever mentioned I have the best jobs EVER!! I have noticed all my family posts start off with how I met the person and how I see them every 6 weeks for hair, and then now able to photograph them. You get the best shots of people when they are comfortable with you, trust you, and have a connection with you. I love that all my clients are my friends. I love that friends refer friends too. I love when I get a new hair client or photography inquiry and they say someone referred them. Referals are the best compliments a girl could ever recieve! This shows they trust me as a hairstylist or photographer, and more so as a friend who will take care of their friend. I am so blessed to have my hair clients now becoming my photography clients. Now I just need to convert a photography client to become a hair client! But I think trusting someone with your hair is a little harder than trusting someone to take your pic! With our "adult" lives being so busy I am really so very lucky to be able to do what I enjoy, see my friends, and get paid :). Thanks so much everyone! I have the BESTEST clients around!

Justice Family

This is really one of the sweetest little families. Mom and I met when we first worked together at an auto insurance call center when I was in hair school. We instantly connected with our love of our dogs and dried mangos. Every once in awhile we would meet at the dog park with our "babies" and have a playdate. We haven't worked together in years but we stay in touch when I see them every 5 weeks when I do her and her husbands hair. The funny thing about these two is they never wanted kids! Then one day she came in and told me she was pregnant with her daughter, and just last month welcomed a little boy! Both are AMAZING parents! She is so attentive and he even more so! Always tending to the baby while she is getting her hair did!

Their little girl is so smart and sweet too. She knows sign language and was doing signs for mulldeer? whatever that is. She was sitting in the E of the L-O-V-E sign at the Scottsdale Civic Center and signing E! Maybe I should teach my son to sign since he can't say a dang thing! Normally I like to think I am in charge at a portrait shoot but I usually get put back in my place when there is a toddler involved! She told me who was boss and I was following her and the ducks!

I am usually a color girl but a lot of these I loved in black and white. Especially ones of mom and baby. Mom was looking beautiful and baby so sweet. Like this one.....

This was one of my favorite family pics. He looks just so proud and she so in love with her baby. I love how the wind swept her hair back too.....
Thank you Justice family for being such great clients and friends!

Countdown to Babies!

I am so getting so excited! I have a few newborn sessions coming up and I can't wait! I want another baby myself so this will pacify me for the moment. I love shooting kids, and newborns even more so. I think it's the skin. So soft and smooth and fuzzy :). One of my babies coming is Lil Miss A who should be here in about a month, maybe sooner! I can't wait to meet her! And let me tell you this little girl will probably be born with 6 pack abs cause mom and dad have the hardest bodies I know! And so cute dad made her cake! He's a firefighter so he knows how to bake and cook. He showed me how to make a mean Apple Dump Cake! Here are a few pics from her shower.....

This last picture reminds me of when I was pregnant. We had 5 of us pregnant, all going to the same doctor, within months of each other!

An Engagement and a New Baby!

It was a sisters' editing weekend for me! One sister got engaged and the other welcomed another little daughter!

First meet Gwen and Ryan. They recently got engaged and she also became an aunt. Most of my wedding packages have engagement sessions included, so Ryan wanted to make full use of these pictures and may be using them for wine labels. Cute idea huh? And yes I said Ryan. I love the guys who are proactive in the wedding planning process! They have known each other since high school and have been dating the last few years. They are a cool and laid back couple. I think that runs in her family! They are great together and I can't wait to shoot their wedding!

Remember the Hansens? And their cute little redhead? Well they welcomed their second daughter about two weeks ago and she is as beautiful as can be. This little mini shoot took all about 15 minutes and I got some precious pics! Little Red was asleep so she couldn't join in the fun :( Since it was a quick session the slideshow is short but oh so sweet! CLICK HERE to see her slideshow

Is it weird that I just want to eat her up?!?!
