Gwen & Ryan tie the knot: {gilbert wedding photography}

So I am on facebook today to see status updates from my bride and groom from Saturday's wedding. They are sitting on the beach having frosty drinks, facebooking! So I kind of felt obligated to give a sneak peak knowing they have internet access!

Gwen and Ryan are such an awesome couple and just great great people. They met in high school and were friends through out the years. Then she needed a roomate because hers moved out. He needed a place to stay and the rest is history! I am so happy to get to know Gwen over the years too on my own, as her hairstylist and friend. So I of course had to do her hair for her wedding. Then when I starting doing photography she trusted and put her faith in me and hired me too as her photographer! I have done many family sessions and a few small weddings. But this would be my first full shabang wedding. And overall I think it went pretty well. And anyone who is in the wedding industry can tell you, weddings are hectic! Luckily I knew going into this from doing wedding hair and working with Serendipity. I started the day with hair and makeup for the bride, 2 bridesmaids, and flowergirl. I don't know if I necessarily would do this regularly because it made for a super long day (umm......12 hours). But I had to for Gwen. And for her stepdaughter. And her sister too who is my dear friend. And then I couldn't leave my little K out! But if I would do it for anyone it would be for these gals! I know I am crazy but I love them!

Everything went perfectly and thank you Gwen for being the most laidback awesome bride! You made my first "real" wedding the best! Ryan was so awesome and his centerpieces were gorgeous! Yes, he made them! I wish you two a wonderful long life together! Have fun on your honeymoom! xoxo Enjoy a few pics from the day........

I Love shoes!

I love shoes and bling!

Now these gorgeous centerpieces were a little bit of a headache for the groom. He spent all day trying to get everything perfect. But everything just kept floating to the top! But we heard a cheer from downstairs and knew that with a little help from Him and some fishing weights the day was saved!!

Now I have been to a lot of weddings. But I have yet to see these. I have seen the candy bar, even a smore's bar with a fire and everything. But I have never seen a Mashpatini bar! My fab friend Sarah who was a guest at the wedding too put together this wonderful colorful sweet potato mashpatini for me!

Getting ready!

Ready! .....And waiting!

I am so happy Gwen and Ryan chose to do a First Look. With everything that is going on in the day, it is just so nice to have a chance to see each other, talk, and take a breath. Be with the one you trust the most for that one second before you get thrown to the lions! It was so cool to be there to capture that first look. Then I went on to take their portraits before the ceremony. Luckily we did, because I wanted to take a few more after, but Ryan was feeling a little quesy! Or maybe that was his excuse to get to the partay??

The anticipation........

I love this picture and how he's checking her out!

Congratulations Mr. & Mrs!!

I will end it with one of my favorite pictures. Ryan did also did a father/daughter dance with his 13 year old. I love how Gwen is just so happy and smiling watching them dance. Ryan has such a connection with his daughter that you just can see. He actually brought her with him to the Melting Pot when he proposed to Gwen and had 2 roses for each of his special ladies. And Gwen and K have an amazing relationship too. And to top that, with the young girl's mom too! She is actually the one in the picture sitting next to Gwen! I love that. Love all around.

Thanks so much you guys! Sometimes the more I learn the less I feel I know and confused I get! I get frustrated! But it is encouraging to know people like my work and to know it is progressing :) Thanks for the love

The photos are AMAZING!!! That was the only wedding that I've been in that I actually enjoyed taking the photos. It takes a great skill to command, control and make it fun for the wedding party. You rocked it girl!

Tina, I am SO impressed. You worked so hard the day of the wedding, were so professional and turned out a phenomonal product! I just can't wait to see the rest of the pictures. Hard to believe, looking at the pictures, that this was your 1st "real" wedding. Unbelieveable...
